I once entered this into a Dutch Oven cooking contest on a whim. Imagine my guilt when it took first place over several elaborate made from scratch offerings. But, whatever! Without question it is my most requested Dutch Oven recipe, so here goes.

12″ Dutch Oven

3 cans apple or peach pie filling (or if you’ve been to the berry patch I can vouch for blueberries)

1 Krusteaz Cinnamon Crumb Cake Mix and Required Ingredients

Dump pie filling into DO.

Prepare cake mix as directed and spoon in dollops onto top.

Sprinkle provided cinnamon mixture all over.

Bake with coals on bottom and top until top is golden brown, usually about 45 minutes. Check often as the high sugar content of the topping can be prone to burning.
